Just an update and a reminder that we covet your prayers. Jake had another CT scan end of December. We found out that it showed a thickening in the large intestinal wall. Could be absolutely nothing, but anything suspicious must be ruled out! So on to another specialist! Jake will have a procedure done the end of February to hopefully find nothing! Jake is more nervous about the procedure itself than what they might find!:) We still totally trust the Lord for His perfect plan and timing! He has proven Himself faithful over and over again in our lives! Love to all! K
Praise the Lord!! Jakes CT scans were totally clear and no tumor markers in his bloodwork!! sigh…….. Doctor says a long road ahead of testing, like ten years or more! It will be every 3 months for years to come. We pray each time we have more trust and faith in Jesus and feel less anxious or like we can’t breathe! Thank you for your prayers and love! Love Emmons clan
Please continue to pray for Jake. He had a big CT scan yesterday and we will not get the results until next Thursday- torture! This the first CT scan since chemo. He had an ultra sound immediately following and it was clear. So we are praying for “clear” again. Having the test done is hard enough on him (he does not like hospital stuff) but the waiting is very hard! He is traveling today through Saturday. Please pray for his safety and that his mind would not be so preoccupied by waiting! Love to all-K
Another ultrasound down! Doctor says everything looks great! Bloodwork and images are clear! Yeah! Praise Jesus he is so wonderful! We go another 3 months and then they will do another ct scan of body. We get a 3 month break from the hospital, whew! Small prayer request for me, our new insurance cleared Jake but considered my RA pre-existing. I was going to the doctors regularly for my meds and bloodwork etc and I guess since I was being treated without insurance I am an extra liability. Who knew if I took care of my disease and kept it in control, while going broke to care for myself I wouldn’t qualify for insurance. They will see me for other needs unless it is deemed caused by my RA. Please pray my RA stays where it is, or better yet goes completely in remission. I need a new med but I now have to wait a year to get it and pay out of pocket for my specialist. Pray I would be content with decisions made and yes Praise Jesus Jake’s is not pre-existing! We are beginning to get many more bills from this year, pray for these needs to be met. We love you all and pray blessings from the Lord to be poured out over you! Love K
Yesterday Jake had an ultrasound done on his abdomen and bloodwork. Please pray for clean and clear results! It kind of takes our breath away! We see the oncologist next week for results. We know the Lord is so in charge, it truly is unbelievable some days! He continues to bless us in shocking ways! So far $5000 of the $19000 owed for December has been reduced to $60 because of the ACE program! Praise Jesus for sure! We are truly amazed at His mercy and kindness! Jake is also feeling so much better. He is busy at work and traveling as I type. He is back to his peppy, full of mischief self! We are blessed he did not miss one day of work through all of this. The Lord has really carried him through this valley (I mean all of us).:). As we get caught up on bills and such, we are beginning to pray for a place of our own (to rent). We have been with my parents for almost 2 years and feel like they have gone beyond the call of duty in blessing us! If it is the Lords will, we would like to give them their space back. There is no rush for any of us, but please be praying the perfect place/location and situation would arise and show itself. That we would all, my parents included, have a peace about it when it comes! That we would truly know it is the Lords desire! We love you all. We pray that through this journey of prayer and support you have given us, you have become so deeply rooted in Christ. That when trials come your way( hope they never do!), you will remember how you prayed and believed on our behalf and know that with Christ all things are possible! May your walk be forever changed as ours is! Love to all-K
McKenna won 1st place overall last Saturday in Irish dance comp! One more first place and she will be an Open Champ- highest level of competition!! We are so proud of all her hard work!
Yes indeed!! That is what they say as of today. It is a preliminary result. All tumor markers are normal now and scans good. In 3 weeks another ultrasound of abdomen and more bloodwork. They also said Jake has a long road ahead of many years of testing. Testicular cancer likes to show itself years later. But we totally accept “cancer free”! We praise Jesus for this miracle! He is good. I will update more later. I am so tired from little sleep. Jake has had the flu on top of all and Miah had several asthma attacks through the night and this morning. We love you and sorry for cutting this short! Kerri
